Undergraduate Education
Basic courses of classical mechanics are given to students at the Schools of Mechanical Engineering, Technical Physics and Industrial Engineering, as well as on the shorter (BSc level) programme in Mechanical Engineering. These courses include basic courses in Statics, Dynamics of Particles and Rigid Body Dynamics. Altogether more than 2000 individual examination tests are taken in basic mechanics courses each year.
Advanced courses given in the third and fourth years of the engineering schools are Structural Dynamics, Structural Optimization, Flight Dynamics and Rigid Body Dynamics, Second Course.
- Note: from the academic year 2002/03, no mathematical tables, electronic calculators or similar aids are allowed in Statics and Particle Dynamics exams. A short compilation of formulas will be given on Rigid Body Dynamics exam with the exam paper.
